Gallipoli Troy Tours from Istanbul
Duration: 16 hours (long day tour)
Itinerary: We visit the famous Gallipoli battlefield located on the outskirts of Istanbul. Also on the itinary is Anzac Cove, the War Cemeteries (Beach Cemetery, Quinns Post, The Nek) and the Anzac Memorials (Lone Pine, Australian Memorial, Conk Bair, New Zealand Memorial, Hellespont and British Memorial). All dedicated to March 18, 1915 and this famous but sad battle of World War I.
We then take the ferry across the Dardanelles Strait and enjoy lunch at Canakkale. In the afternoon, we will travel around the site of the ancient city of Troy, famous for the legendary Trojan horse from the times of the beautiful Helen, Queen of Sparta, and Paris, the Trojan Prince.
We will have dinner on the return journey and arrive in Istanbul late evening time
